Shipping Coverage

At this time, Anime Garage Kits ships to addresses within the 50 United States as well as some international destinations. Enter shipping address at checkout to determine if we can ship to your location.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to expand our shipping coverage in the future.

Shipping Costs

  • 50 USA States: Free
  • Canada: $15 Flat Rate 
  • Other International: $25

Duties & Import Taxes

Anime Garage Kits uses Shopify Pay as a payment processor and Shopify's duty and import tax calculation service. This means that if you are an international buyer duties and import taxes will be estimated and collected at checkout. The payment of these to the destination country is facilitated by the shipping carrier. This helps buyers avoid surprises after shipping. I cannot guarantee that your country will not charge additional tariffs, but this pre-collection should reduce unexpected fees. 

Anime Garage Kits is not responsible for paying duties, import taxes, or tariffs on behalf of the customer.

Country of Origin

Although I create and finish the model kits in the USA, the printers and resin I use are manufactured in China. As a result, the country of origin for duty/import purposes will be considered China and not the USA in most countries.

Processing and Shipping Times

In-Stock Items

Processing Time: In-stock items will be processed and shipped within 2 business days of the purchase date.

  • Orders placed Monday-Friday will ship within 2 business days
  • Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed starting the next business day
  • You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order ships

Pre-Order Items

What are Pre-Orders?

Pre-order items are products that are not currently in stock but are available for advance purchase. These items will be printed and shipped according to the estimated timeline provided in the product listing.

Pre-Order Timelines:

  • Each pre-order listing will include an estimated shipping date or timeframe
  • Estimated dates are subject to change due to production volume, equipment availability, and unforeseen circumstances
  • We will communicate any delays or changes to your estimated ship date as soon as we become aware of them
  • You will receive email updates about your pre-order status and any timeline adjustments

Pre-Order Cancellations:

You may cancel a pre-order at any time before the item ships for a full refund:

  • Email rin@animegaragekits.com with your order number and cancellation request
  • Cancellations will be processed within 2-3 business days
  • Once your pre-order item has shipped, standard return policies apply

Communication:

We prioritize transparency with our pre-order customers:

  • You will receive updates if your estimated ship date changes
  • We will notify you when your item enters production
  • You will receive a shipping confirmation when your item is on its way

Print-on-Request Items

What are Print-on-Request Items?

Print-on-request items are custom products that are printed specifically for your order. These items are not kept in regular inventory and are produced after you place your order.

Print-on-Request Timelines:

  • Production time is estimated at the time of order and communicated via email
  • Production timelines are estimates only and may vary based on:
    • Current production queue
    • Complexity of the item
    • Size and print time requirements
    • Equipment maintenance or technical issues
  • Typical production time ranges from 1-3 weeks, but complex or large items may take longer

Timeline Updates:

  • We will provide an estimated completion date when you place your order
  • If production will take longer than initially estimated, we will notify you promptly
  • We strive to keep you informed throughout the production process
  • You are welcome to email rin@animegaragekits.com at any time for a status update on your order

Print-on-Request Cancellations:

You may cancel a print-on-request order at any time before the item ships for a full refund:

  • Email rin@animegaragekits.com with your order number and cancellation request
  • Once your item has shipped, standard return policies apply

Production Communication:

We believe in keeping you informed:

  • You will receive confirmation of your estimated production timeline within 24 hours of ordering
  • We will notify you if any delays occur during production
  • We will contact you immediately if we encounter any issues with your specific print
  • You will receive a shipping confirmation when your item is completed and on its way

Production Capacity Considerations

Please note that production timelines for both pre-orders and print-on-request items may be affected by:

  • High order volume during peak seasons
  • Equipment maintenance or downtime
  • Complex or large print jobs in the production queue
  • Quality control requirements

We do our best to provide accurate estimates and maintain consistent production schedules, but actual completion dates may vary. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to deliver high-quality 3D printed products to all our customers.

Shipping Method

We ship via Economy Shipping through USPS or other carriers as appropriate.

Estimated Delivery Times:

  • Typical delivery: 3-7 business days after shipment
  • Delivery times vary based on your location and carrier routing
  • Tracking information will be provided via email once your package ships

Please Note: Processing time (2 business days) and shipping time (3-7 business days) are separate. Your total wait time will be approximately 5-9 business days from order placement to delivery.

Shipping Address Requirements

Address Accuracy

It is the customer's responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address at the time of order. Please ensure:

  • All address fields are filled out completely
  • Apartment, suite, or unit numbers are included when applicable
  • The spelling of street names and city names is correct
  • The ZIP code matches your shipping address

Address Changes and Corrections

IMPORTANT: Once an order has shipped, we cannot change, modify, or reroute the shipping address.

  • If you need to change your shipping address, contact us immediately at rin@animegaragekits.com BEFORE your order ships
  • Once a package is in transit with the carrier, we have no ability to redirect it
  • Packages shipped to incorrect addresses due to customer error are not eligible for refunds or replacements

If you realize you provided an incorrect address after your order has shipped, you may:

  • Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number to attempt an address correction (fees may apply and success is not guaranteed)
  • Contact your local post office to attempt to intercept the package (success is not guaranteed)

We recommend setting up USPS Informed Delivery or similar carrier services to manage deliveries to your address.

Package Tracking

You will receive an email notification with tracking information once your order ships. You can:

  • Track your package using the provided tracking number
  • Check delivery status through the carrier's website
  • Sign up for delivery notifications through the carrier

Shipping Delays and Transit Issues

Carrier Responsibility

Once we hand off your package to the shipping carrier, it is in their care. While we ship within 2 business days, we cannot control:

  • Carrier delays due to weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances
  • Unusual or inefficient routing decisions made by the carrier
  • Delivery timeframes or schedules
  • Lost or misdelivered packages

Delayed Packages

If your package is delayed in transit:

  • Check your tracking information for updates from the carrier
  • Allow the full estimated delivery window before contacting us
  • If your package has not arrived within 14 days of shipment, contact us at rin@animegaragekits.com and we will assist with filing a claim with the carrier

Lost Packages

If your tracking information shows your package as delivered but you did not receive it:

  • Check with neighbors, household members, and building management
  • Look for the package in alternate delivery locations (porch, mailroom, etc.)
  • Wait 24-48 hours, as sometimes packages are marked delivered prematurely
  • Contact the carrier directly to file a claim
  • If the package cannot be located after 7 days, contact us at rin@animegaragekits.com

We will work with you to resolve issues with lost or missing packages, but please understand that once a package leaves our facility, the carrier assumes responsibility for delivery.

Packaging and Product Protection

Our Packaging Standards

We take great care in packaging your 3D printed items to ensure they arrive safely:

  • Items are securely wrapped and cushioned
  • Fragile resin parts receive additional protective packaging
  • Boxes are appropriately sized to prevent shifting during transit
  • All packages are sealed and labeled properly

Fragile Nature of 3D Printed Items

IMPORTANT: Resin 3D printed parts can be fragile, especially thin or detailed sections.

Despite our best packaging efforts, damage can occasionally occur during shipping due to:

  • Rough handling by carriers
  • Extreme temperature changes
  • Compression or impact during transit
  • The inherent fragility of thin resin parts

Damaged or Broken Items

If your item arrives damaged or broken:

  1. Take Photos: Photograph the damaged item(s) and the packaging immediately. Photos of both the broken parts and the box/packaging materials are very important - they help us assess what went wrong in the packaging process so we can make improvements and prevent future damage.
  2. Email Us: Send photos and your order number to rin@animegaragekits.com
  3. Replacement: We will arrange for a replacement part to be shipped to you at no additional cost

Please report damage within 48 hours of delivery to be eligible for a replacement.

We stand behind our products and will make every effort to ensure you receive your items in perfect condition. Damaged items due to shipping are not considered defects and are covered under our shipping damage policy, not our standard return policy.

Order Confirmation and Changes

Order Confirmation

You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after placing your order. Please review this confirmation to ensure:

  • All items are correct
  • Quantities are accurate
  • Shipping address is correct

Order Cancellations or Changes

Due to our fast processing times (2 business days), we have a very limited window to make changes to orders:

  • Contact us immediately at rin@animegaragekits.com if you need to cancel or modify your order
  • Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled or modified
  • If you need to make changes after shipping, you will need to return the item per our Return and Refund Policy
